The second day of Leah Profancik’s Fresh Twist workshop was with Joy Vertz founder of Shoot the Moon Photography. I was absolutely blown away with the information Joy gave us on how to successfully run a photography business. I’ve been to a few photography workshops where I was introduced to the business side of custom photography, but this workshop took the business aspect to the next level. Joy is an amazing business woman with 2 studios in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has 15 employees, 5 of them are photographers. She has the key to success for her business and yours. If you are going to WPPI, please look for her booth. Shoot the Moon created an iphone application for photographers and their clients. It’s extremely cool for your photography business and your clients will love it.
I had a wonderful time with fellow photographers and teachers. Thank you Gina Maxine for being such a gracious host, Leah Profancik for teaching us your photography style, Amanda Elkins for your expertise on posing and Joy Vertz for giving me the knowledge to make my business successful and a special thank you to the models and their parents (please contact me for full resolution digital files).
